Feature Spotlight:
5 Ways the ShiftKey App Makes Things Simple
Nurses and CNAs love the ShiftKey App because it reduces or eliminates much of the "friction" that makes finding open PRN Shifts such a hassle.

Here’s why:
The ShiftKey App connects you directly with facilities, and vice-versa. It’s really that simple! With the traditional staff-outsourcing model, independent healthcare professionals are often at the mercy of the agency—constantly checking email or awaiting a phone call, so they don’t risk missing out on a shift. In addition, many agencies often require that PRNs work exclusively with that particular agency, which limits opportunities that otherwise might be available.
The ShiftKey App is an incredibly powerful tool for PRN nurses and CNAs.
1. It's always at hand. How often do you go anywhere without your smartphone? With the ShiftKey App, your schedule, credentials, and even a record of how much money you’ve made are just a few taps away.

2. The ShiftKey App makes it easier to get paid. Simply use your smartphone to take pictures of your signed worklogs. You’ll know right away when payments post to your direct-deposit account or Rapid® paycard.
3. With the ShiftKey App, you’re essentially a “free agent.” Unlike traditional staffing agencies, with ShiftKey you decide when and where you prefer to work.

4. Convenient navigation to new facilities. If you’re heading to a particular facility for the first time, you can tap or highlight the address in the ShiftKey App, and then open it in your smartphone’s mapping app.
5. It’s a great way to build relationships with facilities. New to an area? Bid on shifts at different facilities to meet new people and grow your professional network.

These are just a few of the many reasons so many nurses and CNAs across the country rely on the ShiftKey App to browse and bid on nearby PRN shifts.

ShiftKey Launches in New Markets

In just the past few months, ShiftKey has launched in New York, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., with new shifts becoming available in cities such as Utica and Binghamton. Using the ShiftKey App is a great way to build relationships with facilities in your preferred areas. Facilities often favor PRNs who they’ve used before, so being among the first PRNs available in new cities could lead to even more opportunities in the future. Don’t delay—get in during the early part of our launch period.

Jessey M., QMA
Independent Healthcare Provider
West Lafayette, Indiana
"‘Excellence in a new environment’ has been my new motto"
Jessey M., a QMA in Indiana, shares her experience with the ShiftKey App, in her own words.
“I recently moved from Lafayette to Marion, Indiana, without a job lined up. Being a mother of three (ages 9, 11, and 15), I knew very well that any job I took had to be flexible, so working full-time was likely out of the question. I’m a Qualified Medications Aide (QMA), so I started applying at places where I could work PRN.
On a visit back to Lafayette, my friend Tanisha introduced me to the ShiftKey App. Something about the name made me want to look into it. I’ve never thought of myself as the type of person who would be able to jump from one place to another, or start at new places all the time. However, I decided to give it a try. I started the verification process, and it was faster than I thought it would be.
I watched the introduction videos that I got. I learned the ropes really quickly. In practically no time, one of my bids was accepted, and I was assigned to my first shift. I was sort of anxious on my way there, but it went great. I worked hard and got along with the facility’s staff—they even commented on how well I worked out.
This was great for me, because it encouraged me to bid on more shifts. After the shift was over, I uploaded my worklog and boom!, I knew exactly how much—and when—I was getting paid. It's been beautiful seeing the amount of money in my bank account get bigger. That’s the icing on the cake!
I sat down to create my own schedule that would allow me to be home with my family whenever I wanted. I’ve worked at a couple of facilities now, and I'm still loving it!
I learn new things each and every day from the different facilities that bring me in. I strive to be better and to leave a good name everywhere I go. ‘Excellence in a new environment’ has been my new motto. The one time I had a scheduled shift canceled by a facility, I was still able to pick up a shift at another facility. So, as for me and my house, we love ShiftKey. And to my friend Tanisha…thank you!”
